ABOUT ME

I’ve been coaching since I was 19 — I’m 33 now — and it all started on the trails, coaching teenagers in a school sports program for mountain biking. But my roots go deeper. I grew up competing in figure skating and swimming before finding my place in downhill mountain biking at 14. Racing came quickly, but it was the process of training that hooked me early. Downhill was my passion, and I cross-trained with enduro, cross-country, road, and BMX to build every piece of the puzzle I could.

I was never the most talented technically, but I became obsessed with the parts I could control: fitness, structure, repetition. I didn’t have much support, and eventually I stepped away — broke, frustrated, and heartbroken. I sold everything. But even then, the mission stuck: stop being in debt, start helping younger athletes, and pass along the knowledge I’d built.

That mission became my career.

I spent years coaching anyone who wanted to train. I worked 7 days a week — at gyms, in bike shops, at events, running group classes, grinding through it all to learn the ropes and build a foundation. CrossFit came into my life around then too — not just as a training style, but as a space where I could meet hundreds (eventually thousands) of people and build real connections. It helped me grow both personally and professionally.

Eventually, I returned to sport. I eased back into mountain biking — this time enduro — knowing that downhill didn’t match the risks I was willing to take anymore. I tested out a few sprint triathlons with no real structure — just to explore. As a swimmer and cyclist, I saw potential, even if my run was holding me back.

In 2020, I fully committed. I dove into structured training and completed my first 70.3 in 2021. Since then, I’ve trained smarter, gotten stronger, and built both the fitness and lifestyle to support long-course triathlon. I now race middle and long-distance events, and I call myself a professional amateur — because if you want to be like the best, you have to act like the best.

Looking back, this is exactly where I was meant to land when I walked away from racing. I just needed time, space, and a ridiculous amount of patience. This path took longer than I imagined, but it’s mine — and it’s built to last.

  • To guide athletes toward their personal definition of performance — with structure, honesty, and a clear plan that respects real life, not just the perfect one on paper.

    • Consistency beats hype no superhero weeks, just smart work over time

    • Long-term over shortcuts results come from the small wins you repeat daily

    • Honest feedback not sugar-coated, but always with purpose

    • No judgment on potential we all start somewhere

    • Presence > volume I keep my athlete roster small so I can be fully invested

    • The HOW matters dreams are real, but they require real commitment

  • I work with people in the multisport and outdoor adventure space — mostly triathletes, followed by runners, cyclists, and endurance athletes who want to get stronger. I also coach strength training specifically for cyclists & runners and support a mix of other disciplines along the way.

If you’re serious about your goals, ready to train smart, and willing to commit to the process, we’ll get along great.
